 JUST RELEASED!

"Computer Spyware Technical Surveillance Countermeasures"    By Robert Pac

Our Investigative Specialist will perform a search of your computer for computer monitoring surveillance spyware which is the type that Estranged Spouses, Hackers and Identity Thieves commonly use and are the greatest threat to your privacy.

Our Spyware Countermeasures Investigation goes beyond a simple scan of your computer using an anti spyware program. We perform a Computer Spyware Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (CSTSCM) Investigation. CSTSCM is a process used to search and detect hidden hardware and software computer surveillance spyware monitoring devices and the methods used to disable them.

When you hire us a highly trained Computer Spyware Countermeasures Specialist will perform a thorough examination of your computer system using CSTSCM guidelines developed by Robert Pac which include:

bullet

Signature based anti spyware software

bullet

 Heuristics based anti spyware software

bullet

A physical examination inside and out of you computer & keyboard for hardware keystroke loggers

bullet

A manual search of your computer for hidden spyware signature files

bullet

A Search of  the running systems process area for suspicious programs

bullet

A Hot key search of your computer to trigger hidden spyware programs

Computer Spyware Warning Signs

bullet

Your computer has started to run slower. In Windows XP launching the task manager and clicking on the “PERFORMANCE” tab reveals that your system is running using 100% of its CPU cycle by an unknown program

bullet

Your hard drive space is being used up or you get a message that your virtual memory is low

bullet

Someone “accidentally” spilled something in your keyboard and replaced it with a new one

bullet

You find a small cylindrical piece of hardware attached to the keyboard cable on the back of your computer

bullet

When you try to run an anti monitoring spyware program it won’t run, crashes and/or shuts your computer down giving an error message

Common Spyware Detection Misconceptions

bullet

Anti Spyware Monitoring programs will detect all types of spyware, these types of programs can't detect all spyware as a matter of fact some spyware will disable anti spyware programs from running.

bullet

Anti Spyware programs detect hardware keystroke logger devices

bullet

Spyware can be found by pressing ctrl+alt+delete, while some spyware programs can be detected this way, most of the commercial versions of monitoring software won’t show up using this method.

bullet

You’ve checked the installed programs listing area and didn’t find any spyware programs. Advanced commercial versions of Spyware operate in stealth or hidden mode and won’t show up in the installed program listings.

bullet

Spyware can be detected by typing an abnormal/unique text string of characters and then doing a text string search of the text you have just typed, or search for the most recently modified file. This detection method will not work with the majority of spyware, they hide their  files by using encryption, and changing the file creation times.

bullet

A computer with encryption is safe from spyware. Spyware can intercept keystrokes before they are encrypted.

BEWARE! Not all Computer Security Software programs are created equal! If we simply wanted to "Sell" you Spyware products we could literally list hundreds of different Computer Anti-Spyware programs on our website, but some of these Anti-Spyware products are questionable as to their ability to perform the functions they claim to.

BEWARE! as this is especially true of Computer Spyware detection programs and "FREE Spyware Scans" which can contain Spyware themselves or provide false positives indicating that their is Syware on your computer in an effort to trick you into buying their programs. Before you buy any Anti-Spyware program check out the information on Rogue Spyware and programs to avoid! Click Here.

In January 2006, Washington state filed a lawsuit against a company that allegedly used spam and misleading advertising to frighten users into purchasing its spyware cleaner product, Washington State Attorney General alleges that Secure Computer, offered consumers a free computer scan and then mislabeled software on their computer as spyware to frighten them into purchasing the cleaner product.

In March 2005, the FTC charged that Spyware Assassin offered free remote scans and detected spyware that didn’t exist in an effort to get consumer’s to purchase their anti spyware  program to. The FTC charged that the defendants scan was deceptive and that the Spyware Assassin program failed to remove all spyware or substantially all spyware which violate the FTC act, which bars deceptive claims.

bullet

In June 2005, the FTC charged that Trustsoft a manufacturer of an “anti spyware” program used pop-up and e-mail messages informing consumers that their computers had been remotely “scanned” and that spyware had been “detected,” even though no such scans had been performed. These were scare tactics to get consumers to purchase its “SpyKiller” software, to enable SpyKiller’s “removal” capabilities. The defendants promised in their marketing materials that SpyKiller would find and remove “all” spyware, including “all traces” of particular spyware on consumers’ computers. The FTC complaint alleged, however, that the software failed to remove significant amounts of spyware, including specified spyware the defendants claimed to remove. The complaint further alleged that the deceptive claims violated the FTC Act.

Legitimate Spyware programs don’t use pop up ads claiming that they have detected an infection on your computer, this isn’t possible when a computer hasn’t even been scanned or examined for Spyware yet.
